Just am desperate to do a quick post wishing all the well wishes in the world to the lovely Charlie J Fitz who is in sunny Barcelona recovering from her life-saving surgery, necessary due to a rare complication of EDS, which she raised a significant amount of money through Chance4Charlie in order to finally have. Unfortunately this surgery isn’t currently available under the NHS, or even in England, and this is something Charlie will be campaigning for once she feels recovered.
I’ve set-up the Partisan Access Fund, as part of me part-time employment, in order to raise money to make Partisan Collective’s Grade-II Listed home wheelchair accessible through building changes, as well as simply ACCESSIBLE in all sorts of other ways. I chose the launch event to in part take the form of an exhibition of Charlie and her partner Oscar’s art. They have both been extremely generous and kind in that they have agreed for all profits, including those from all sales of their artwork, from the evening to go straight into the Partisan Access Fund.
So thank you both for the hard work and generosity you have put into helping Partisan, and also just for being such talented and outspoken online presences to a world fo spoonie artists.
You can keep up with their work at their website, Sick of Being Patient.
